I hate how when you're flipping channels you end up seeing a bit of 48 Hours Mystery or Dateline NBC, and it's always inevitably some unsolved murder. And you know you shouldn't watch because it's always some CREEPY story about some regular person being abducted and the eventual statewide manhunt that causes you to end up in bed with your eyes wide-open after having checked fifty times whether the doors are all locked. And they show the poor innocent mother and wife's picture on the screen about ten times a minute and you can't help but think that despite how horrible the story is, could the producers please stop showing the picture because it's giving you the creeps. And even though you know it's a bad idea, you still watch to the very end to see whether there was a miraculous rescue, even though 95% of the time the body ends up being recovered in a shallow grave in the woods off the side of the interstate.
Needless to say, I unwisely watched ABC Primetime: Crime last night.
