I have too much stuff. I think most people do. And since moving back home, I've been living amongst cardboard boxes and plastic storage containers full of coat hangers and course readers. It's quite amazing the amount of stuff one acquires over the course of four years. How do you incorporate four more years of stuff into a bedroom already filled with eighteen years of stuff?
So my cleaning has consisted of lying on my bed and halfheartedly opening boxes and of course making up new blogs. It's like you can't really start anywhere. I need to put all my clothes away, but I need to go through all my old clothes and chuck them first. I need room to put my college notebooks and stuff but I need to throw away my high school papers (and some middle school stuff, I am ashamed to admit) first. I have no place to store my shoes, or my CDs, or my DVDs. So basically I've just been picking up boxes and moving them to new locations a few feet away. Not to mention it's 105 degrees outside (this is an actual figure taken from my handy desktop gadget) and feels nearly the same inside my room which is on the second story and therefore receives zero air circulation. Also: our air conditioning is not currently functioning. Bottom line: cleaning really sucks.
