Coworker: Did you hear Joe* got engaged?
Me: Aw, that's nice. Man, it seems like everyone here is either engaged or married.
Coworker: Yeah, everyone's taken. Hey, what about Matt**? He's really nice and still available. You should say hi to him.
Me: Matt who?
Coworker: Matt [fake last name], who works down the hall.
Me: ...ahhh, that's my cousin.
Coworker: (looks at my ID badge) Ohh.
So now the pool has dwindled down to my own relatives. This bodes well for the future.
